It’s a Great Time to do a Detox

desk clock with sticker that says Time to Detox

Doing a detox on a regular basis is a great way to get and stay healthy! The problem is that there are many types of detoxes out there, how do you know what is best for you? Right now everyone has been home and probably not eating as well as they could and maybe a few pounds have crept on?

Signs your body needs a detox: low energy/fatigue, constipation, brain fog, feel depressed, trouble losing weight, trouble sleeping, headaches, bloating, mood swings, and loss of sex drive.

A good detox plan will help you clear and clean your digestive tract, your kidneys, and your liver. You will usually lose 5-7 lbs ( women) and 10-12lbs (men). Yes ladies, it’s true, men will lose more and faster, every time (blame it on our hormones). If you have the right detox for you, you might have a slight headache for a few days and feel slightly sluggish but should not be running to the bathroom or feel terrible. While you are home and can prepare fresh food, it is a great time to find a detox that will work for you.

Here are some of the benefits of detoxing: Boosts energy Rids the body of excess waste Helps with weight loss Strengthens your immune system Improves skin Better breath Clearer thinking Promotes healthier habits

Foods to eat during a detox: artichokes, asparagus, avocados, beets, broccoli, cabbage, garlic, ginger, grapefruit, green tea, kale, lemons.

Foods to avoid: gluten, dairy, alcohol, corn, and sugar.

Detoxing is one way to ensure that your body works properly. Flushing out toxins that have built up over time allows us to stay healthy and reduces the chances of us getting sick or developing diseases.

I recommend The Clear Change 10 or 28-day programs from Metagenics. I think it’s the best out there and comes complete with email support, supplements, and a complete eating plan. You can find it on our website store at www.eohinfo.com

Stay Well!
